The Dove Project
The Dove Project is made possible through
a Grant from the
Criminal Justice Division of the Attorney General's
Office and from
funds provided by the City of San Saba.
Donations are always welcome as the Grant does not
begin to cover
the multitude of expenses that are involved in helping
a family get
back on their feet after a crisis situation.
Some of the expenses involved are: Food is purchased
for 14 cents
per pound through the Capital Area Food Bank, medications,
dental work, clothing, gasoline, utility deposits, etc.
While children generally are able to get medical assistance
through
Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program
(CHIP), there is
generally no medical assistance available for Mom.
Tax Deductible Donations may be made through the San
Saba
Ministerial Alliance and designated for The Dove Project.
