Attention
Deficit Disorder and Marriage
In very many instances, Domestic Violence is related
to Mental Ilness.Abusers are untreated or undiagnosed
with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Bi-Polar (BP),
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Schizophrenia
and similar manifestations of a neuro chemical imbalance.
There are no easy answers. There is nothing that requires
people to get
treatment. On the other hand, the spouse and children
have a right to
live without abuse or other problems resulting from
a spouse, SO, or parent with an untreated mental illness.
This support group aims to be there for you as you
deal with the day to day ups and downs of living with
an untreated spouse, parent or significant other.

Borderline
Personality Disorder and Relationships
People with BPD often have highly unstable patterns
of social relationships. While they can develop intense
but stormy attachments, their attitudes towards family,
friends, and loved ones may suddenly shift from idealization
(great admiration and love) to devaluation (intense
anger and dislike).

BPD411intro
This is not one of my lists but I highly recommend bpd411intro
especially if you are in the 'planning to leave an abuser'
stage. This is a high volume traffic list but it is
also a valuable resource. With the help of people (who
have been through this) on this list, hundreds of people
leave violent or abusive relationships safely, successfully,
and with a plan for their future, each year.

Borderline
Personality Disorder and Co-Parenting
This list is for parents who are co-parenting with a
borderline personality disordered person. Whether you
are still living with the other parent or not, the challenges
are the same. We're dealing with a parent who has trouble
putting the needs and best interests of the child(ren)
first.
