Our Services
At the Dove Project, we offer a range of supportive services to help survivors of domestic abuse find safety, healing, and hope. Whether you need immediate help, ongoing support, or practical resources, we’re here for you.
The Dove Project provides immediate support to individuals and families facing domestic violence through our 24-hour emergency shelter, crisis hotline, and intervention services. Our shelter offers a safe, confidential place to stay while you begin the process of healing, and our hotline is available around the clock to provide emotional support, safety planning, and guidance during urgent situations. Trained advocates are ready to help assess risks, connect you with medical care, legal assistance, and other resources, ensuring you have the support you need to stay safe and begin rebuilding your life.
Emergency & Crisis Services
The Dove Project offers individualized safety planning to help survivors anticipate risks and take practical steps to protect themselves and their families. Working together with trained advocates, survivors create customized plans that address daily routines, emergency contacts, safe places to go, and strategies for leaving dangerous situations. This proactive approach not only helps reduce immediate danger but also empowers survivors to feel more prepared, confident, and supported as they navigate challenging circumstances.
Safety Planning
The Dove Project offers both professional counseling with trained therapists and peer counseling led by survivors who provide empathetic support based on their own experiences. Together, these services create a compassionate space where individuals can explore their feelings, work through trauma, and develop coping strategies. Whether through expert guidance or shared understanding, counseling helps survivors build strength, resilience, and hope as they move forward on their healing journey.
Professional & Peer Counseling
The Dove Project helps remove barriers to safety and healing by offering transportation support alongside advocacy for survivors who need to attend medical appointments, counseling sessions, or court hearings. Our trained advocates not only provide safe and reliable rides but also offer emotional support, guidance, and help navigating these often overwhelming environments. This service ensures survivors are not alone during critical moments, making essential care and legal processes more accessible and less intimidating.
Transport & General Advocacy
The Dove Project connects survivors with a wide range of resources and trusted community partners to support their unique needs. Whether it’s finding specialized counseling, securing safe housing, accessing healthcare, legal services, or financial assistance, our advocates provide personalized referrals and guidance every step of the way. By bridging these connections, we help ensure survivors aren’t navigating their journey alone and can access the tools and services essential to healing and rebuilding.
Resources & Referrals
Through our case management services, the Dove Project helps survivors navigate the many challenges that come with leaving an abusive situation and rebuilding their lives. Our trained advocates work closely with each individual to identify needs, set achievable goals, coordinate access to resources like housing, employment, counseling, and legal assistance, and provide consistent emotional support along the way. This personalized guidance empowers survivors to take steady steps toward stability, independence, and healing.
Case Management
Our parenting classes at the Dove Project offer guidance and practical strategies for building healthier, more nurturing family relationships after experiencing domestic abuse. Participants learn effective communication, positive discipline techniques, and ways to create a safe, supportive home environment. These classes empower parents with confidence and skills to help their children heal and grow, breaking cycles of violence and fostering lasting resilience.
Parenting Classes
At the Dove Project, our legal advocacy services help survivors navigate complex legal systems with greater confidence and support. Advocates assist with protective orders, accompany survivors to court, explain legal options in clear language, and connect them with trusted legal professionals when needed. By offering guidance and emotional support throughout the process, we aim to reduce the fear and confusion often associated with legal proceedings, empowering survivors to protect themselves and assert their rights.
Legal Advocacy
The Dove Project wants you to know that you are not alone. Our trained advocates are here to help you take that next step, to encourage you to keep moving forward and to listen without judgement.
